Default Water clarity??

I imagine after all the wind this week, it's going to be major muddy close to shore. Therefore, Ithink I'd be wasting time trying tosight fish for pomps from the pier. What's everyones opinion on surf fishing for pomps in muddy conditions. Iknow it makes itdifficult to see washouts, deep holes, etc, but the two times I've been in muddy conditions, I've never gotten a bite. What do ya'll think?

I caught a few yesterday and got bit off a few times just blind casting along the beach. I would work the holes good and cast as I walked to the next hole. Couldn't see the fish, but did pretty well, I am going again today after work.

thanks for the reply. I'm going to have some rods set up for still fishing and walk the beach with a pomp jig. Leave my friend with the stationary poles so we can try both methods. I still have my doubts about the muddy water.
