Default Where to find em?

Hey yall,

My buddy just got a new flats boat and we are wanting to take it out friday morning. I primarily am a freshwater guy but I love chasing reds too. Is there anywhere in particular anyone would suggest we go to hopefully find a few? Normally i would find some grass flats or hit the docks but I havent been since last summer so..

Thanks!

The grass flats are not going to be warm enoughyet to produce too much. Right now, I would expect them to still be holding in deep muddy/sandy holes in the bay system. Try some points thatextend into the bay andwhere the tidal currents have created a deeper side to those points.

i have had good luck at the bridges (mid bay & destin). good tide movement (the steepness of the slope from high to low tide indicates the water movement) and i have been fishing a 2oz jig on the bottom tipped with a piece of squid. i have caught big redfish, black sea bass, grouper and black drum...
