Yep they are. I've seen them in the European markets before as well. The wrasses, too. I think these videos are from Japan. Notice they are not using fillet knives.

When I was stationed a Patrick AFB (Cocoa Beach) a friend and I were fishing in on of the sub basin near jetty park and were catching them left and right. The was an Asian lady next to us that wanted everyone we caught. Too nasty looking eat in my opinion.
