Mitch and I fished Sat and Sunday. Sat: only 1 bite: a small ladyfish. As we headed out Sunday we felt much better as we spotted diving birds, big blue herons in search of a meal along the bridge and just a beautiful day. Sunday ONLY 1 fish but a goodie and a real surprize: a nice 20 inch flounder caught on a live pin /8# test. Mitch was great, :bowdown again, with the net. But really--where are the steady stream of white trout? Looking down the bridge Sat and Sun saw lots of boats (all pulled in the shade and very relaxed). Saw no one with a bent pole. But Good Eats-thanks founder!!! :hungry

nice flatty, i dont think the white trout have been bitin that hard lately, this weekend and last weekend when we were fishing we only caught five, while jigging for flounder. we are not really targetting them but we will generally catch 10 to 15 or at least have a ton of hits from them.

There is a spot out in the bay, that at night time You can't get a jig to the bottom without one picking it up.
The majority are 12-15inches with an occasional larger fish in the mix, but hell you can't get a jig with a gulp on it to the bottom before you're hooked up. From my experience they will eat anything, but they seem to be more agressive on gulps then say bucktails. |
