Default Wading on NAS (late report)

Went to Trout Point on NAS Tuesday evening and waded out in the grass flats. Used silver spoons, had a good time and even caught some fish. Ended up with 4 blues, 2 sail cats, 1 red right at 27" and one bull red broke off. Gave the blues and sails away but released the red into some peanut oil. Sorry didn't bring a camera so no pics. Water was flat as could be. Tried some top water but no hits using a Top Dog Jr.

Try a Skitterwalk size 11. I used to fish Mirrolure topwaters and got outfished 4 to 1 a couple times using the same color. Something about the resonance of the rattles in the Skitterwalk is more appealing.

Hit it again last night and the trout and reds were on fire. Kept three trout and two reds; all caught on 3/4oz silver spoon and live small pinfish with popping cork. Need to get that Skitterwalk and give it a try.
