Default trout and reds from scenic

Me and two friends fished from private land just north of I10 and scenic thursday evening and got into them pretty good wade fishing. We left with 8 good trout and 3 just legal reds after an hour and a half of fishing till dark. I tried twitch baits and top waters but they only wanted jig heads with swim baits....I had been having good luck the last few weeks with the green back chartreuse belly and white tail but thursday they wanted a regular mullet color soft plastic on the head. Its hard to find quiet legal water around there without trespassing but its worth it...one post of many I should have written, I live a half mile away and fish it a few nights a week. Good luck with it.

Nice job getting the fish. Are you fishing in Escambia bay north of I-10?

I also fish that same spot after school sometimes. It always produces fish, but the people that own the neighborhood will chase you off if you don't have permission.

Good report,
I didn't catch anything there last Tues. I didn't have much time so only took an ultra light and a 10 ft bait net. It looked real fishy, saw alot of boils and a red fish finning, just couldn't catch good bait. Only caught tiny 1 inch silver looking croakers?/ and a giant mullet. I'm the one that saw the dead Stergeon Fishand that was the high light of the day. Thanks for the info I will try back with some leadhead green plastics this week.
