Default Trout Fishing in Choctawhatchee Bay

We have been working over the grass flats on either end of the midbay bridge and have only 2 legal trout to show for it. Is anyone catching trout in CB?

Thanks

Check with Capt. Blake Nelson. He's a member here. He is the foremost expert on fishing CB!! Hands down the best in that area. I'm sure he could point you in the right direction!!

Good luck

I got 4 trout monday out at Eglin 3 shorts and a 19"er. Lots of slot reds all over the place look for the mullet on the grass and the reds will be with them.

Thanks for the tips. We tried the mouth of Rocky and had a few strikes but no trout or reds. We did get a 3 lb pompano on a gold silver minnow spoon. That was certainly a treat. We also tried the grass flat near stake point and eventually found a nest of trout in the 10-12 inch range--must have released 30. Hopefully we will have larger year class in 2011/2012.
