CComfort12, congrats and thanks for the great post and pictures. I used to have a pontoon boat like yours, including the torn up seats. At a friends suggestion, we took off all of the built-in couches. We then replaced the carpet with marine vinyl flooring ( easier to keep clean). For seating we got several bean bag chairs and plastic lawn chairs. IT WAS GREAT! It gave us so much more room for fishing , looked better, and was a lot more comfortable !

No, we did not keep the snapper, we caught it same time as a few others and grabbed a pic then got it back in, second one we caught was a few inches bigger, just need a grill on the pontoon then maybe thought about it,lol.

Unfortunately and fortunately the pontoon is our current mode of fishing transportation, we have a 34' Hatteras converted from gas to Volvo diesels just haven't had the time to make the track, the pontoon was a great find for the price and I will be fixing up for the family enjoyment, we have 3 little ones 2-8 yrs old so we can stay in the sound and enjoy the beautiful waters with the kids, thank you for the advice though, that would be a nice fishing area wide open.
