<SPAN class=postbody hasbox="2">Wed July 1 <SPAN class=postbody hasbox="2">Got up late this morning and drove over to St Joe Bay for Scallops. We foundours in knee- to waist- deep water. Spent 5 hours trudging around and called it a day around 5pm. LOTS of marine life encounters - sea urchins, horseshoe crabs, sting rays, big blue crabs - rays especiallyare everywhere! Dangit Amanda, Do you have a twin sister? You do it all fish, scallop, ect....
WHere is St Joe Bay? We usually go to St. Marks/ Apalachacola river. |

^ Port St Joe, Cape San Blas area. We coulda went and bought scallops cheaper than gas + lunch + dinner, but this was too much fun & rewarding knowing we "caught" our own food! lol... PS - I would live in the saltwater if I could.

Thanks for the report - was wondering if they were in good this year. I'm heading over there in a couple weeks w/ the kids to try to get a few.

Thanks for the report !!!!!!!!!! I thought the bay in Port St. Joe was knee deep everywhere even at high tide ( just kidding ). Looks like they are some pretty decent ones this year.
You are right about buying them cheaper but nothing like catching them yourself . |
