The weather may not and we not be able to get out in the Gulf to catch Snapper, but fishing in Pensacola Pass is as good as it gets! Today Bud, Tucker, Allen and Amanda joined for a quick 4 hour trip out of Perdido.
We had plans of trying to Mackerel fish but it was way to rough for a bay boat so we switched gears and headed over to the Redfish rocks! We either caught or lost a fish on every drift. Including several double hook ups. The bite seems to be the best in the incoming tida and right at the slack tide but seemed to die completely once the tide turned! Another wonderful day on the water chasing my lifes dream and doing with some amazing people! ......... See you out there

The PAss wasn't all that bad today. It was a big rolling swell but easily fishable, the Gulf was a whole other story though!

Hi Capt. Brad,
What is the best bait to use when drifting the pass and do you think a gulp shrimp or jerk shad would work in the pass? Thanks |

Try to use any live fish bait you can get your hands on, or cut menhaden! Gulp will work, but it takes a while between bites. I fished the Pass with a 1oz jighead and a 4" shrimp during tournaments and done pretty well!
