Default Saturday trip with new trailer = dinner

My girl called me around 10 saying the bay was flat as can be. So I loaded up and headed out because I have tried and tried to fish but the weather has not been my friend of late.

I just got a new used trailer and added guides so I was excited to use it again.

I decided to work my way around the pillings in the shollower parts of 3 mile. Free lined live shrimp and threw gulp with no luck at all. So I headed out towards the middle and saw like 50 boats and thought I wasnt getting in my favorite area, but when I got out there I had plenty of room especially up close to the bridge. I grabbed my rod with a nuclear chicken jerk shad and tossed him in. With in seconds

I was pumped. I mean I just pulled up and I am guessing the people around had just been catching white trout because this lady in another boat was like NO FAIR, you just got here. I could do nothing but smile. I then went on a white trout run of about 20-25 in like 30 mins. No more reds before the wind started picking up. Best hour trip of my life. I wanted to keep the red and didnt have a cooler so I tied him up to some 50lb line and let him swim off the back of the boat then threw him in my bait bucket until I got back to Dizzys toget some ice.

I then went back into the buyou and messed around. Free lined shrimp again and threw more gulp with no luck what so ever. I was starving at this point, so i headed home.

YUM YUM! Cooked for my girl since she gave me the weather forcast! Maybe I will have some more luck :letsdrink

thats a beautiful fish. Do those electric filet knifes work as well as the manual ones? or do you end up with a lot of bones?

The knife is great. I just got it in oct and have used it 6-7 times and had zero bones in any thing. It takes minutes with no head aches, in my opinion anyway. Some people know how to use a regular knife and slay them quick, i am not in that group lol
