Saturday Sheephead

Went out Saturday, launched out of Sunset around 9:00 AM. Got to the pass and holy cow, it looked like a parking lot, boats everywhere. Got set up and the first drop was fish on. Huge sheephead went into the fishbox. Used live shrimp, drifting and caught 10 more in less than 3 hours. Left the pass and trolled a strech past the old coast guard station towards the red bouy when something big hit the stretch. Tried to set the hook, but nothing, came up empty. made our way back to the dock and was home by 1:00. Great day to be out fish wise, but weather wise not so good. Fog rolled in around 9:30ish and the sun really never made an appearance.

Those are some good size sheeps, nice report - congrats!

One of them cost me an Ugly Stick. Broke the pole in 3 places. Worth every cent though.

Damn, that's an expensive fish (as if they all aren't) :banghead- make sure you eat him first!
