Default Perdido Key inshore?

I will be launching at Galvez on Friday with a buddy and we are not familiar with the inshore fishing around this area. We usually only fish offshore. I wanted to take him and show him some inshore light tackle fishing. If anyone could just point us in the right direction I would really appreciate it. We will be fishing at night an early am. Thanks for any help.

We fish the bridge pretty often. Carolina rig live shrimp with a sliding weight around the base of the pilings. Early morning and dusk are best times. Can catch bull reds, trout, flounder, ladys, blues, occasional keeper black snapper. That's about all of my inshore experience there. I'm also more of an offshore guy.

For inshore in this area I like to go at night. Wait until about an hour after dark then start hitting the lights around the piers in the area. Use light tackle with just a leader and hook, free-lining live shrimp along the edge of where the light is shining in the water. For me this usually produces some good reds, and specs, along with a little of everything else thats in the bay.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

if fishing in the daytime use the slip cork method in deep water. About all you can do this time of year for a large number of fish.
