Went fishing around Fort Pickens onSunday 9/28/08 with my dad and girlfriend andhad a little luck. We caught several small red snapper and gag before I hooked up with my first keeper red snapper in the bay and first keeper grouper of the year on a live pinfish. My dad latercaught a nice kingfree liningan alewife.Just before calling it adayI happened to catch a monster stingray after we tusseled for a while. I haven't knowingly ate stingray yet, but this one was filleted out with help of my dad. I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

Let us know how the Ray turned out after you try it. I might decide to bring home a couple myself. Anyway, great catch, I bet it was a hell of a fight!!! :clap

Congratulations on the Gag! You sure have the right size stingray to have some good meat on the wings. I am looking forward to hearing how it turns out. Have heard all my life that stingray wings are delicious. Thanks for the report and the pics.

If you've eaten scallops in a rest, chances are pretty good you've eatin stingray. Heard they were pretty good.
