Went out Sunday and Monday

No luck at Dixie bar with Gulp, DOA, dead shrimp, or spoons except a few small whiting and a bunch of catfish. Reds were a no show.

Trolling off the beach at about 4mph with Clarkspoons behind a #1 planer was the ticket! Lots of hardtail, a couple of big ladyfish and one Spanish mack!

The gulf was like glass Monday around lunch so a quick run to one of the larger platforms about 3 miles out. Casting spoons yielded more hardtails and a couple of nice bluefish as well.

Running back into port Monday afternoon in the gulf WOT and hitting 46mph in my Whaler was ablast too! Boat was running great and seas were cooperative.

Going out today, but winds are making thegulf look quite a bit rougher than earlier in the week.

Vacation is fun. Fishing on vacation is more fun.
