Default Mobile Bay & Delta

We the weather temps getting better each day, the specks/white trout/reds have

started migrating into the rivers. They are still out in the Bay, and I am guessing

that Gustav must have pushed a lot of saltwater north into the Delta. Once it gets

a little cooler the fish will bunch up in thick schools. Just a matter of time. This Saturday

wasa great day on the water. We started fishing the Delta, and had a hot tip that was

where the fish were caught on Wed & Thursday. Needless to say that was not true on

Saturday. We managed to find the specks, although they were small 14-17 inches.

The white trout were decent averaging 14-15 inches. It only gets better in the fall.

Its nice to hear a little insight on Mobile bay from time to time in here. I typically fish the dock lights at nighton the Eastern Shore since I live here in Fairhope. Over the last several months the trout have been stacking up thick under the lights. Most are descent size with nice slot reds and largerspecks from time to time. The white trout have moved in really well and can easily be caught just about every cast. A perfect time to carry out the little ones if you have any. I took my daughter and sonout with a buddy and his daughter and they wore their little arms out! I cleaned 53 trout the next day. I'll be heading up the causeway here shortly. Thanks for the post.
