Default Looking for help

Hello,
I'm kind of a new member. I've been reading posts for the past few months, trying to get tips for in-shore fishing. My brother-in-law is coming in town this weekend and we are planning to hit the water on Saturday. We are looking for Reds and Sheepshead. Is anyone willing to give me some good advice? Riggs, bait, etc.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Dimitri

use a fishfinder / carolina rig - a sliding egg sinker above a swivel followed by 18" of 15 -20 lb flourocarbon leader. For Sheeps you can use a small circle or J hook, size 4 or 2 depending upon bait size. For reds you might up hook size, again depending upon bait. If you have access to a boat, go to the bridges and scrape the barnacles of the piling and fish next to them for the sheeps.

Can also try the 3 mile bridge under the lights at night for the reds.

I just asked the same questions last week, you can go to my post Need Help Please or go to Thank You to see what we caught.

Based on the various advise I received we had the best luck at the Destin Bridge, tied up to a piling as close to the channel as you can get and let the current/ wind get you into the pilings.

I used a 1 oz sinker with a #2 hook 2' off the bottom (sinker on the bottom) against the pilings and used shrimp and fiddler crabs as bait. Best luck with crabs, bites on almost every cast.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. We are planning on hitting the 3 mile bridge in the morning. Hopefully with your guidance, will land some fish despite the cold and windy conditions.
