Default Inshore trip 09/02/10

Got out for the first time this year. Morning found average size specks and one over slot red at Naval Live Oaks. Then worked Little Sabine few more specks.

Late afternoon got to Pass. Found huge schools of Lady Fish killing the surface. They were the largest ladies I've ever caught. Several in the 4 pound range. The only problem was keeping the dolphin from eating them before we got them to the boat.

Have any of ya'll had dolphin actually eat a hooked fish. It happened to my buddy this evening. Could not believe it. If I can figure out how to get the pictures off my phone I'll post some.

I lost a decent sized king mack to a dolphin a couple weeks ago when I was fishing off Navarre pier in my yak. He took off with the mack as I got it within 10 yards of the boat. I had to clamp on the reel to break it off.
