Default Hot Spots Charters 2/9/2012

Today we left the dock at 9am and right about that time the wind decided to blow.. It made a little bumpy ride to the pass with the swell coming out of the north east. I decided to go straight to the rock Jetty and see if we could get a few sheepshead to bite. We were using live shrimp and we caught a few pretty quick. We also boated a few black drum and a 26in redfish. The bite slowed down so we went and fished the deep part of the pass and that produced a few over slot reds. After that we poked around just off the beach and only saw a few redfish that wouldnt eat. We ended the day back in the pass and added to our sheepshead total. It ended up being a great day on the water.

Oh, I also experienced the dolphins stealing a few hooked sheepshead under the boat. I hope this isn't a regular occurance...

Good job Tyler as usual,

We have certainly trained the dolphin offshore to be free loaders as a result of the snapper regs and now they are moving inshore.

I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up at 3 mile stealing white trout from unsuspecting angles next.

Good job Tyler! Did you have any shark problems? We reeled up a number of redfish heads on Tuesday...
