Grouper and Reds in the sound

My daughter's boyfriend (Josh) and I took the boat out Labor Day from Woodlawn Beach and decided to ride down to the Bob Sykes bridge and fish the pylons. I was using live pin fish on the bottom and Josh was casting a gold spoon out by the channel. We were out there maybe 15 mins and Josh lands this 27" Grouper (10 lb test line). We landed him in the boat and measured him to find out he was legal at 27". About 10 cast later Josh lands this 24" Red on the same spoon. Glad they were legal size cuz the Game Warden came up on us about 15 mins. after landing the two nice fish. All in all it was a hell of a day on the sound.

Man! That is a really nice grouper for that far in the bay..I caught a legal one a few winters ago using a jerkbait very close to where you were..Nice fish!
