Default Great Friends, Good Music, oh yeah and some Fish!

After seeing Glastronix post I had the itch to fish! After having a few beers and a great burger at the Oval Office, my buddy Ken (bigrigz) showed up with boat in tow. We hooked the boat up to my Durango and met Jess at the ramp. The water was crazy flat and the tempature was just right! We were on the water for 5 minutes and ken caught a keeper red at 25". After that we were sight fishing in the lights! You could see the fish swirl! We put some white trout in the boat for bait, and some nice 2lbers in the cooler. Jess and I drop down some trout while Ken is having a blast with his favorite lure and some light tackle! It's not long until I get a screaming run.......short fight and my line snaps! Come to find out there was fray in the line! :banghead So I re-rig and 10 minutes later I got another nice run and a bull red comes into the boat.

Shortly after ken lands a nice one on light tackle

I can't let ken have all the fun so I rig up a pole to start casting a few lures. Like I said earlier, it was so flat you could literally site cast to some of these fish! Check out the color! This guy inhaled a rattle trap.....bent every d**n hook....lol

Ken and I continued to catch a ton of fish using lures......spanish, blues, trout, and damn ribbon fish........if anybody wants some king bait.......3 mile is the place to be!

Jess was bound and determined to land him a red and while I had the above red in boat, the other rod with a live trout took off and Jess took over!

It had been far too long since Jess caught a red, he took one extra second admiring this awesome creature.

It was an awesome couple of hours. I'm sure we could have caught a ton more if we would have stayed......but some people gotta work....ha!

Total Tally

Reds - 5

White trout - 30+

Spanish - 10

Blues - 3

Ribbon fish - 7

Gotta send props out to Glastronix for the inspiration and information......Thanks man.
