Great water off the beach 3-5 miles so I took my visiting son and his wife to catch some of those big bobos reported on this section as Wednesday report. Took the advice of posts(thanks all) and tried a fly(clouser), spec rig, small clark spoon, and threw dozens of times right into the schools with no takers. Trolled some, same baits, through schools; same results. I did use a bubble with a sinker on all baits to get the casting distance(they spook easily when you approach) and to cause a commotion on the surface and I guess one could indicht that, but I didn't try a tiny diamond jig tied right to the line. Probably wouldn't have made any difference. Dad looked like a greenie! Those damn bobos!!!!

I took a bunch of cast today and couldn't get a hit. Tried a small clarke spoon and a small Calcutta flash foil.......not a bite. They were busting the surface all over the place.

I couldn't keep the bobos OFF the bubble & clarkspoons Friday! One right after another. We even had a few caught downmid-depthson the bigger deadly dicks (lovely name- lol). Did you tie the clarkspoons onto the bubble rigs?
