Default Fishing Regs

P'cola is my home, but I've been a yankee for the last 20 yrs, I hope to return home for good, What are the fishing regs for trout, reds, etc? I used to wade from the mouth of bayou chico west to pensacola country club catching reds, specks, sheephead, etc. I know you can't do that anymore, so where are the best places to wade inshore these days, without surf fishing the gulf?

Welcome to the forum :clap

You can keep 5 specks a day, slot size is 15" - 20" and 1 of the 5 each day can be over 20".

You can keep 1 red a day within the slot which is 18" - 27".

You can wade fish a little around shoreline park in Gulf Breeze, or at Naval Live Oaks National Seashore which is just east of Gulf Breeze.

I fish a lot and do well around the old chimney on Scenic Hwy. The waters that I fish from my boat can also be wade fished.

There are other areas around that can also be wade fished but I am not aware of the details. Some of the other members will help you more.

Keep in mind that February in C&R for specks and NO treble hooks with live bait (IF you are so inclined).

see thats some bull crap...The limit should be moving back up now, and we should be able to keep one over per person. Hell no once they change the limit it stays, this is a prime example.

Let them screw us and change the snapper, It will NEVER GET BACK, IT WILL ALWAYS BE2 PER PERSON FROM NOW ON

PEOPLE DO SOMETHING!!!!! DO SOMETHING NOW!!!!!
