Default Fishing Destin for the First Time

Hello to everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to fishing Destin waters. I'm from Biloxi and used to fishing inshore, offshore & the La marshes, however, my fishing buddy andI are going to try the inshore Florida waters in and around Destin & east (Panama City) or west (Pensacola)through the ICW looking for reds. We do not know the inshore waters or local names for area spots, however, half the fun is trying the areas out, but a point in the right direction helps. If anyone couldoffer any suggestions(don't need exact hot spots - just general area). It wouldn't be fair forus not to learn & earn to find good spots. Any info would be appreciated and I would gladly offer any help in our waters.

Right now around the Destin Bridge the Reds should be thick, the Coast Guard Station Jetties also and the Pass Jetties too. The Sound has some Reds in it and Panama City is loaded also.

As funny as it sounds... Fishing reds in Destin can be directly compared to Bass fishing. Look for shallow clear flats around structure.. Peirs, Docks, and rock piles!!! Of course, once the water warms up that is!!!
