Default Decent Fishing Spots

Ive been in the Pensacola (Pace) area for some years but Ive just recently started saltwater fishing with the family. A typical day has been me, the wife and both kids out near 3-mile bridge throwing on the bottom with shrimp. As of yet, nothing worth mentioning. I read through the forums and a lot of yall are fishing areas Ive never heard of though Ive probably been near them, just dont know what theyre called. So, with all of that in mind...Id appreciate some ideas on where to take the family out fishing where we might put some fish in the boat. I prefer to stay on the east side if possible (rather than out Perdido way). Were in a 19' center console (Logic boat, now known as Triumph). Any other information you want toimpart will certainly be accepted :-). My fishing experience has been limited to freshwater for the last 20+ years.

**Ok, I shouldve posted this under Q&A. My apologies!***

if you have a gps you can go to any of the public wrecks that are near shore in the gulf...should be no problem in a 19' boat, there are the 3 barges and the massachusets right outside the pass and plenty of others withing a few miles. check the fwc website for a list of reefs.

cheers

Drift through the pass and beat up the bull reds. Look at the bottom machine to find rocks and spots there or just follow the parade of boats drifting in that area.

Also check the escambia county web site for reefs nearshore (like was mentioned), there's plenty within easy reach.

Here's a link
