Got way cold for the mullet in our area last night. LOTS of mullet, various size, washed up on the beach this morning. Mid perdido bay location.

They're safe to eat. They just die from the extreme cold . I'm not a mullet fan myself, but they are fresh and shouldnt go to waste. It's freezing out, should be edible.

I'm a native of Milton, Fl. for the past 45 years, and have been eating frozen mullet every time they come up. I haven't had any problems.
Skinned and deboned is the best way and of course dipped in mustard and FRIED with Zatarains Seasoned Fish Fry. Yum:letsdrink |

We fried some that we had caught at Carpenter's Park in Milton and they were absolutely unfit to eat. Hope they are better elsewhere.
