Default Canal report - sort of...

Not really a fishing report, although I did fish with the kids for about an hour today, a handful of white trout, a ground mullet, and a ray (unexpected w/ the water temps) BUT....

For the first time in a few months I am seeing a few specs at the dock light in the canal again along w/ quite a few croakers. Tonight is also the first night I have seen the massive schools of rain minnows circling the light - there have been a couple hundred or so but not the millions that are out there right now running the circle around the light... looks like a good sign to me...

Highlight of the day today for us was the Renaissance fest this morning... I have been to quite a few of these around the country and the one here rivals all of them - a good time was had by all....
