Default Boy and a Fish

While shopping at Cabela's in Baton Rouge yesterday a promotional rep gave each of the boys a zebco rod and reel, which they both thought was pretty cool. Bret was tying snells this morning and decided to go see how the little Zebco casts. He headed out with a bare 3/8 jighead and I said he may as well put a gulp on it if you are going to be casting. He said no thanks and headed to the dock. A few minutes later he walks up with this little guy. After showing off to Momma, fish was set free. From now on my only advice will be, "put the bait in the water".

Good times. Little fish like that is what gets the kids hooked on fishing... I cut my teeth on little fresh water bream... fun as a kid.
