After a few really bad trips in blackwater bay i finally got back into the redfish again. I just had to change up my tactics from last month.I don't know if it helped but i had my friend robert back in the boat now that hunting season is over. I'm just glad to have a fish tugging on the end of my line. Monday started out good with robert hooking up with a fish pretty quick . I turned around and saw his rod bowed up and his drag buzzing and i knew he was on to a nice redfish. I pulled up the trolling motor, grab the net and get ready to help land the fish . After a few laps around the boat we got him in and he measured 26" inches and weighed 6# 1 oz. Robert got a couple of smaller reds before i got my first fish which was a 21" red. we got a few more after that before the bite slowed near dark. wednesday started out pretty much the same but the bay was very rough andit was me getting the first fish which was a 25" redfish and from then on there was steady action. About half slot fish and half rats. we also managed to get a double hook up. we haven't had that happen before so that was really cool.

yeah those were some pretty tough conditions yesterday but it paid off big. Tons of fun with those upper slot reds they don't give in to quick
