Any bo's in the bay yet?

last year I caught several bobo's on a November sunrise trip so i think its safe to say they are probably around our bay system. Your best bet is to check out the tides and trying to fish an incoming high tide. Troll some plugs or stretches.. or cast on schools with any fast flashy retrieving lure. good luck



also.. if you caught some bobo's you might want to try fishing some deep structure in our local bay system with a nice piece of fresh bonita meat. Use a 4-10 ounce lead depending on current on a carolina rig.. really strong swivel, start at 50 lb flourocarbon (work your way up), and put on a xtra strong 6/0 hook. Preferably use a bottom rod with 65lb braid and practically lock the drag down If you put this to the test and have some patience.. you might add a grouper or two to your fish box. one last thing.. for catching these groupers the best bait is definitely a lively hand sized pinfish or pigfish. (if you have a bunch in the live well.. score the fish on the flesh a bit for some grouper candy!!
