Default Basin Bayou?

I was hoping to get some info from anyone that has fished Basin Bayou recently. I have fished Alaqua and the ditch between Point Washington and PC without much luck. I just fished from a dock in Alaqua so I wasn't able to move around and look for fish. I did talk with a gut that claimed to have caught a 33 inch trout the day before but, we all know how that goes. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: Basin Bayou?

Iused to fish Alaqua a few years ago (before Hurricanes erin and opal)and always found trout at this time of year to be in the last sharp bend just before the big bowl shape before it opens up into the bay. Used to be a 15 to 20 ft deep hole there and you really had to fish slow with soft swimming artificials or put a finger mullet right in their face. Big strippers there too. Caught one 42" long one year. Tore my gear up!
