April 6-9 with Capt Brant

Fishing was good the last few days. The weather was a little iffy Thurs, Fri, and Sat, but we braved the conditions and were able to grind out several good trips.

Offshore, the mackerel bite has been solid. The fish have been aggressive so dead baits have worked fine.

Inshore, the sheepshead are around but not quite as thick. The redfish are showing up on some of the inshore wrecks, and we are catching decent numbers of trout on the grass flats. We saw over 200 tarpon this morning but we were not rigged for them so we just watched them migrate west, while we were shark fishing. I did have one eat a live herring but spit the hook. Flounder are starting to show up in the pass and on bay wrecks. We are catching 2 to 4 a trip. It will get better and better.

The red snapper bite is on fire in the bay!

And that's what's biting!
