Default 3 mile Saturday Night (My Kids Are Finally Here For Summer)

We headed out to 17th around 7:30, and it was packed. There was only one spot open so I quickly launched the boat and parked. There was a light chop on the way out and when we arrived at the bridge there were boats out everywhere. I anchored us up and we started getting things ready to fish. With Ashley, myself, A.J., Anna, and Chan, the boat was pretty packed, but with a little persistance we did pretty good.

I got everyone baited up with a gulp and lines in!!!! Chan was the first one to hook up, and with a nice keeper trout. Next it was AJ with another with his first fish, another white trout. Soon the Skipjacks moved in and we heard the familliar splashing. It didn't take long and Anna boated one

Next A.J. got into the action

And then it was Chan's turn

Yuck fish slime!!!!

The school of skippies moved up and down the bridge all night and the kids would here them splash and get ready to catch another one? Everytime one jumped while it was hooked the lucky angler grinned from ear to ear. They each managed to get 3 or 4 to the boat and had a blast doing it.We also brought home about a dozen or so white trout for a fish fry. Here are a few more pics.

The kids had a great first fishing trip of the summer, and woke up asking when we were going again :clap :clap :clap.

Thanks for reading, good luck and good fishing.

It was less...too many people fishing, kids still learning, and we tossed back a zillion babies that were around 10 and 11 inches.

Sorry to disappoint you Dylan, but no reds last night. I did get out last Thursday night with lighttackle2fun, andI caught 4 reds and he got 1. They were all around 15 to 18 inches and alot of fun. We were fishing the dock lights in Bayou Texar. The fish were hiting so fast that we didn't get any pics. We used live shrimp, he free lined and I used a light jig head. We each caught about 15 specks also. It was a blast on super light tackle. I was using my Okuma Stinson Si20 with 8 lb test spider wire super mono. Thanks for the replies guys, we will see you out there.
