That sounds pretty tough for a day of fishing! Did you try adjusting the bait in the water column? Wat about adding a "popping-cork" to your rig? Usually that sometimes will help get them to bite. I know that they do want some sort of "moving" tide, wheather it be an incoming, or out going. Just as long as its some kind of movement. Then, "hang-on"!

EG94 - I feel ya'. I fished most of the afternoon and just got back. Zero, nada, nil, nothing! I think that I tried everything in the tackle box!
A really, really slow inshore afternoon. Didn't make it to Garcon, but I fished I-10, Mulat Bayou, Escambia River area. Even my "hot spots" didn't produce. But, hey it was a pretty nice day on the water anyway! |

I don't really know how to get there by car , but Escreibido point( don't know if thats spelled right) in the east bay near Catfish Basin, last saturday and sunday in the early and mid morning was filled with reds and specks, hitting green stingray grubs and gulp crabs. They dissapeared like ghosts at about 9:45am.I live very near the Garcon point bridge and have never had much luck there,I have only caught white trout and skipjack. Can't complain about the skips they are super fun on really lite tackle, the kids love to catch them too. Please let me know if anyone has info on good spots in my area.
