05/01/08 afternoon grass report....

Hello. Was lucky enough to be able to skip out of work this afternoon, and thought I would get a line wet.... Top water wade, Trout fishing is one of my favorite's so Iheaded to the flats about 4:00. The wind was blowing out of the South East at least 20 knots and gusting. The Gulf was churned up and muddy. The inland flats water was a little murky, so I tied on a Catch 2000, and started my search. It's still a little early in the season, nothing major to report, but I was able to catch 6 fish, (5 I let go, borderline legal) and kept one (see picture) for that new batch of Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blend. That Trout was GREAT along with a frosted mug of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't get much better than this..... Tight lines all, T

Looks like dinner for one:hungry I guess Thursday wasn't over there to share or you would have kept a few more!!!!:letsdrink Oh well I'll leave that be!!!I guess you haven't forgot how to catch them since work/women keepyou to busy to enjoy the better things in life, well maybe that secondhalf of the problemisn't so badafter all!!!
