Default speck pattern on warm winter days

So I know when it is cold in the winter the specks are supposed to stack up in rivers / creeks and deep holes in canals, etc. Well we have been having a mild winter with a lot of warm days. Where do they go when it is warm like this. I am assuming that they do not go back to their spring and summer haunts and stick nearer to the cold water digs, but do not know for sure. Anyone know the warm weather winter pattern?? Not looking for spots, just general info on how they move.
Thanks,
Fisherdad1

They may scatter a bit but will still remain in the upper bay and river systems.

Default Winter Specks

Look for mud flats. The fish like to hang out over them to soak up heat from the sun. C2

Just wait until after lunch when the shallows warm a bit. They will be shallow.
