Default Spec Vs White Trout

We have been fishing the 3 mile bridge a lot and been catching loads of trout, but we aren't sure if what we are catching is spec or white trout. What is the easiest way to tell the difference? Is it as simple as one has speckles and the other does not?

You'll be able to tell the difference when you see them. White Trout is white, the Specs have spots...
