Default Slammer 3 ?

Anyone picked one of these up and fished with it yet. Had one in my hand the other day but got cold feet. Was thinking of the 3500 and pairing it up with a Fenwick HMG.

Excellent choice on rod and reel!
I have t used the smaller ones yet, but I have been overwhelmingly please with the 6500-8500 sized Slammer III's that I have fished. The drag is unreal on these things!

I been half tempted to pick up a 6500, but have 2 older 5500 Spinfishers that won't break. Thanks for your input:thumb-sup

Those things are nice. Got more drag than you will ever need as well.

I've been using a 6500 since last spring. It's pretty much the most solid spinner I've ever used shy of the Torque

I too bought the 6500. It's great. I have some internal pictures if interested. Triple seals up top where its the most important. All bronze machined gears. It will be used offshore.

It was way too much reel for the Bull Reds.
