Hey guys I am new to surf fishing and am about to purchase a reel. I was wandering what would benefit me more, the Sargus 6000 or 7000. I will be using the reel to catch anything within the shoreline including sharks.

The sargus to me are the smoothest reels on the market in that price range. They also cast the longest. I had one on a surf pole of mine. I actually had a sargus for every pole except 2. Now I have a stack of sargus reels in my garage. They are all crap. It sucks I bought so many. They have all been cleaned after every use and all but one are not functional. The first screaming run of the drag it's toast.
