I'm renting a house the first week of April on Little Lagoon. I will be going on 1 inshore charter while I'm there but 6 or 8 hours of fishing isnt going to be enough for me. I am planning on bringing my 18ft alumacraft down with me, I was originally going to dock it the whole week in the water but after reading thrugh hundreds of forums I've come to the conclusin that if I leave the boat docked for a week it will either disolve or I will have no problems, so I think I will just keep it on the trailer unless I'm using it. We are staying west of the pass and I was wondering where I should launch at? also any fishing tips would be appreciated. I'm not only going to fish out of the boat so any tips for wading, surf fishing, or fishing the pass would be great. I will probably bring a kayak with me also. Where should I be fishing the first week of April? and what times of day? I plan on bring a few spinning rods with 8lb test and a few with 10 or 12lb and then a couple of my Alaska salmon poles with 20-30 lb. I would love to catch some crabs while I'm there also, will there be crabs around the dock in early April? or will they be deeper? I plan on bringing a few hoop nets but if there will be crabs in shallower I will buy a few pots to throw off the dock overnight. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for the help.

I plan a big blitz in April in the little lagoon. When you come down the road to your place you will rent about 1.8 miles there is a boat launch a nice one and you put your boat in their. You can then go down to where you are staying and get your gang or fish in the lagoon. It is hard to tell you where to go in the lagoon to fish as miles long. The pass area where the opening is a favorite spot for many. You can fish the lights at the early moaning say three hours be for day light with gulp on the bottom with a small jib head. You need to go to Sam's in Orange Beach and talk to Chris and he can tell you what to buy and use in the Lagoon and some of his spots. Let me know the date you are coming and I will meet you down there your first day and show you what I have found. Kayak fishing is great in the middle and lower area of the lagoon. You can put that rig in from the land area you are staying. kayak bob send me a personel message and I will give you my email and cell phone address.
