Default Kayaking for bulls

For the second year in a row I will get to fish my birthplace in Pensacola while visiting my family for thanksgiving. Last year was a blast, and even though we didn't find the bulls we definitely had fun with plenty of the slot reds on arties. This year I will be trying again to get dragged around by a bull or two. If anyone has any good launch locations where I might find some opportunities, I would more than happy to hook you up with some choice spots for reds, snook, trout, tarpon, kings, (depending on the time of year) if you are ever in the Tampa Bay area.

Last time we launched from the Big Lagoon area, paddling past the pass and back, and Shoreline Park, paddling to the Bay Bridge and back. Both were great areas for kayakers and I was able to put my brother on his first red, and then some. So were we too far south? too far north? or just in the wrong place at the wrong time for the bulls?

Remember, you help me with the bulls and I can help you with this... (bro's first tarpon)

or maybe this...(my first tarpon)

or maybe even this... (one of many)

But I cannot help you with this... (she's mine...)

Hey man, I'm planning on getting out to 3mile bridge this weekend and fishing under the lights. Last fall and early spring this year a buddy and I were finding them cruising up on top under the lights. I lost one of my favorite topwaters while sightcasting to them at night.

I don't know for sure which day(s) I will be out there, depends on school stuff. Hit me up if you want to meet up out there.

I am not sure how far you want to go? Watch the tides and usually you can get some bulls near the Destin Pass. At hogh tide, I have gotten them way late on the north side of Crab Island in teh channel.
