Default chum-chum

I want to take a german exchange student who is living with me this year fishing. He wants to catch a big red fish. I know or at least hear that the pass is a good bet? Should I drift the channel in the pass or anchor between rock jetties. or fish on ft pickens side of pass. Whats the best time to go ie., incoming tide, high tide or what? Any help would be appreciated. dan

You have to kindahunt around and find em any of those areas can be productive this time of year. Depends on tidal condiction water temp where te bait fish are hanging. Look for birds and bowed up rods. You won't be the only "bull" hunter in the woods. I've had good luck going on around the corner anddrifting off the beach owards bama. Get some live bait pins ormullet what ever is most plentiful.

I have my best luck for bull reds just as the tide switches to an incoming tide. I bottom fish with cut bait. Anywhere in the mouth of the pass seems to be good lately.
