Default Can anyone help me on finding some big reds this weekend?

Ill be in Destin this weekend and all week after that with my boat. Any suggestions on where i can find some good fish??

Your not going to find much. Sheepshead is probably the only sure thing. Go up to bridge pilings, scrap some of the barnacles off, use a small cirlce hook and live shrimp. Rig the shrimp in the middle of the body, Sheepshead are nibblers. Get as close to the structure as you can.

Other than that a few redfish are lingering around. If its warm enough you might try some flats fishing for trout and reds. Its been pretty slow though.

There are Plenty Sheepshead,Black Drum and bull Reds at both Destin & Mid-Bay Bridges. Fish close to the boat channels in the deep water....fresh dead shrimp works well for the Reds and Black Drums and live shrimp for the sheepies. Now is prime time in those areas because most of the trash fish (bait stealers) arn't there.

There are a couple thousand on the beach. Just get to them before the guides do there fish wrangling on them and spook'em.
