If you want redfish bait crabs, find some shoreline with Marsh grass, throw some small pices of cut bait or squid....open a beer, &drink some of it!

Then get a small bait net and scoop them up!

Thanks, I will have to try that the onlyproblem that I have with baiting the water is that the pinfish get in a feeding frenzy and take all the bait:banghead

They also hang out where rip-rap (rock) has been has been placed - anywhere that's a good place to hide from the guys that want to eat them. Put a pinfish trap near rock, but don't leave it unattended long enough for the pinfish to eat the little crabs.

you can walk the shallows behind Bonifay beach. plenty of smaller blue crabs.they stroll up after the lights have been on for a while. you can take a sand flea rake and snag a couple at a time. or you chase them with a mesh net, and they escape every time.they will be in 2" to 1' water. you can see real well with the lights they have out there. hope this helps.

tight lines. Capt. Ollie
