Default Anything hangin around the Destin Pass???

Got the kids for Christmas break and wanted to get them out. Was hoping the Pass might still have something hanging around. We are renting a boat from the Base (Hurlburt)so we can't go out into the Gulf. Appreciate any help.....

You may be able to catch a few flounder if the current isn't to bad. I know you can go out a mile in the gulf and catch all you want.

The sun was out when I went over the Shalimar Bridge this afternoon at about 1400. Water color was coffee w/ 2 creams....:boo

Yep water muddy in the whole bay areas...but the fish still gotta eat. Most of the bay bridges always hold fish like Destin, Mid-bay, Brooks and Shalimar bridges. With the muddy waters I would'nt even bother with lures and would use natural baits. Live bait is always good but I preffer fresh dead baits like shrimp or squid for these conditions. Target those fish that feed by smell...Redfish, Black Drum and Sheepshead all have excellent smell sences. Destin Harbor is great this time of year but I don't think Hurburt allow their rental boats to pass under Destin bridge.
