Maybe this track will hold although the guy at Crown Weather didn't believe it this morning. Some of the models still have it coming our way and he liked them better.

The marine forecast for the weekend still looks ok, but I wonder...

I love this tropical weather stuff as well. If anyone is interested in this kind of stuff, I watch really good informative videos each day. They're given by a young guy (honestly, not even sure if he's a meteorologist) majoring in physics at the University of Alaska. He uploads his 'tropical tidbit' videos daily. Here's a link.

Anyway, this system in the Bay of Gampeche is definitely something to watch. With the hurricane hunters having flown into it today, the models should begin digesting the data and should, theoretically, begin to show more agreement. Right now it appears anywhere from the FL panhandle to Mexico is possible. Although a TX landfall would be next to impossible from what I understand, due to the high pressure over TX.
