After a monster storm the grouper are thicker than bees in a beehive. As soon as you possible can get out , do so. It normally takes 5 days to calm down and several weeks to clear up, but grouper bite is awesome as soon as you can go.

What makes the grouper nuts after a storm. Do they get pushed in from other areas or is it just the ones there become active?

They get pushed in from deep water because of the low pressure.

Sorry to disappoint some of you but this so called storm was not violent enough to make a "grouper push". We have winter storms that are more violent than this each winter!!!

i dont think anyone was naive enough to think that claudette pushed grouper in:banghead

the best grouper fishing ive ever seen after a storm was ivan! you could probably catch legal grouper off the beach! we caught some over 20lbs and we were only 6miles out
