It calls for a 6amp fuse.

You might think about installing a High Water alarm in the circuit with the 2000 pump. You will need another float switch to operate the alarm & pump.

There are plenty of boats that could have been saved if this was installed.

The subject comes up every time we have one take on water.

A float switch to turn it on, a Piezo horn to make loud sounds and still be small to tuck away and it could also have a idiot light in the system also.

I wired a high water alarm to my "highest" bilge pump. This pump onlycomes on if another one fails, or major flooding(hasn't happened yet...knock on wood) When the float switch for the pump gives power to that pump it also gives power to a piezo buzzer under my dash. You could hook an idiot light as well.

I bought a 12 volt piezo buzzer at radio shack and put it behind my dash. It's SO loud even behind my dash,I wrapped it in duct tape to dampen the buzzer. It's been installed now for 5 years or so, no problem with corrosion yet. I check it every trip by lifting the float switch before I launch.

Yes that is the same horn I've used. The little tabs make it easy to mount.

Ok I get that...I will do this for sure but I'm mounting my pump right next to the other one (at the bottom of my hull) and my auto on switch will be mounted higher.
