Get your prop rehubbed. I recommend Accu-prop. They are by Bahia Mar where Pace crosses Barancas by the Oar House. Pull the fishing line and see if it has gone into the seal. If it has, the seal may or may not be damaged. To be sure, a pressure check would leed to be performed. If you want to take your chances, then keep checking your gearlube for water and for signs of oil leaking out of the prop shaft seal. No, the fishing line is not the cause of the prop hub to spin.

sounds like a hub to me too but if you want to be 100% sure i believe you can put a line across the rubber and onto the prop, go out and run it to where it revs upand see if the lines are still lined up once back home...just another option but sounds like a pretty accurate diagnosis already thanks Jason
