Default steering question

we've came across a boats (32ft.) and it was shaft driven and we want to put outboards on the back. But the steering rudder is in working cond. if we put a single motor on the back behind the rudder will it steer in reverse and for forward gear. ?

thanks

Default RE: steering question

Shafts, struts, rudder post and rudder will all be removed. Steering will be done via hyd ram mounted on the outboards.

I don't know if this question was a early April 1st deal or not? It's Jan 1st.:letsparty

so there would be no way to leave the steering cable on the rudder and leave the motor in a stationary point?

Let's just say if you did that, it would defeat the purpose of mounting outboards on it + it would be a abortion.
